A Song That Brought a President to Ghana

In 2009, Blakk Rasta's tribute to Barack Obama helped bring the American president to Ghana for his first visit to that part of Africa — the two met and shared dinner. First released in November 2007, it stands as the first song written for Obama anywhere in the world, and the only one the President ever publicly endorsed.

His radio work has been honored at the Ghana Radio & TV Awards, where he was named Reggae Radio Show Host of the Year.
